Needle Bearings

Needle bearings are made up of a range of bearings in which the rolling elements are called needles (they are actually cylinders with a very high length/diameter relation).

There are axial and radial bearings and their main feature is that they support higher loads in a single axial or radial axle depending on the type. They also occupy considerably less space.

There is a very wide range of bearing variations:

• Needle bushes

• Needle crowns (used when the axis and the housing can be used as a track for the roller)

• Needle bearings (with one or several rows of needles)

Their components and separability, etc. also vary.

They are suitable for many applications that require high speeds.
