For F-Three, Fersa has as bearing designations series F16000 for ball bearings and series F15000 for tapered roller bearings. F-Three units are equipped with two flanges (outer and inner rings).
Rotating Outer ring for non-driven axles: The wheel and brake disc are assembled at the outer ring flange. Inner ring flange is fixed on the vehicle. Pre-load is already set.
Rotating Inner ring for non-driven axles: The wheel and brake disc are assembled at the inner ring flange. The outer ring flange is assembled on the vehicle. Pre-load is already set.
Rotating Inner ring for driven axles: The wheel and brake disc are assembled at the inner ring flange. The outer ring flange is assembled on the vehicle. Pre-load is already set. The shaft end is mounted in the bearing splines and transmits rotation from the engine to the wheel
F-Three is a bearing unit with a high integration level, with a flange fixed at the disc brake and wheel carrier, at the highest accuracy. The encoders generate the required ABS signal. This design reduces expenses in the assembly due to the construction of the two flanges.
